Leadership Monroe

The program
Leadership Monroe is designed to promote awareness of countywide issues by bringing diverse leaders from every area of our community together to learn more about and discuss current matters. Through hard hitting annual programs, Leadership Monroe allows leaders to gain a deeper insight into these issues and prepares them for a more active role in the community.

The Leadership Monroe program is an educational experience rather than a program of advocacy. A topic of wide concern is selected for each program and outstanding authorities are brought in to lead discussions designated to foster thought and action. Through Leadership Monroe, communities are alerted to common issues, and together, the participants seek mutual understanding of the problems and their solutions.

Goal
After the conclusion of a Leadership Monroe year, each participant will have developed a network of relationships with other leaders of various backgrounds. These outstanding Monroe Countians shall then have the opportunity to turn this resource into a machine that will drive our County forward through the excellence of individual communities. The participants and those whom they touch profit from the fresh insight, broadened perspective and motivation gained from this experience.
