The Membership Committee works to recruit new members.

The Prospect Team researches and acquires information on prospective chamber members. Tapping numerous lists, databases and news articles of information about local business, they create and maintain an up-to-date pool of desirable businesses and organizations eligible for membership in the Chamber's defined market areas. The team's scope of work is to identify "cold" prospects, develop those prospects into qualified leads with telephone and mail communications and pass those leads to the Sales Team for membership sales.

The Sales Team is responsible for following up with the qualified prospects identified by the Prospect Team and bringing the relationship to a successful close or membership "sale". The team's focus is to build upon the prospect relationship already established by the Prospect team. Each individual Sales Team volunteer, approaches their assigned prospects primarily through personal visits in order to explain more fully the benefits of Chamber membership, work through the decision process with the candidate that leads to the sale and finally insure that membership revenues are collected. Once the "sale" is made, new members are handed off to the Ambassador Team for follow-up.

A wealth of knowledge is gained about our membership through involvement in the Membership Committee. As a result, Membership Committee volunteers and the respective businesses they either own or represent, enjoy extensive networking opportunities with the broader business community.
