10 member council appointed each year by Chamber Chairman and Mayor of Forsyth to review and offer recommendations for Tourism Plan of Work/Budget. The Tourism Advisory Council will include as standing members the Chamber President, Director of Tourism, and the City of Forsyth appointee. The additional seven members are to include 3 representatives from the hotel-motel industry, 2 representatives of local restaurants and 2 representatives of retail businesses.

The Tourism Advisory committee works on developing yearly promotional materials and activities including: Visitor's Guide, Advertising Campaigns, Brochures, and a Community Video. Furthermore, the committee is responsible for reviewing and approving applications from community groups for funding through the hotel/motel tax funds.

The Forsythia Festival Committee establishes guidelines for food vendors and arts/craft vendors; review applications; identify and coordinate entertainment applicants; and volunteers as needed to assist the Director of Tourism. This committee is also the backbone of volunteers that makes the event successful. Various taskforces spin-off from this committee.
