Christmas Tour of Homes by Monroe County Historical Society

Did you know that one of Forsyth’s historic homes had its own electric plant built before Forsyth had electricity? Find out which home and much more by joining us for the Monroe County Historical Society’s Christmas Tour of Homes! This self-guided tour of 6 historic homes takes place Saturday December 13th from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM. To begin your tour, stop by the Monroe County History Museum located inside the brick depot at 126 E Johnston St, Forsyth to pick up your wrist band and home information. Tickets for the tour of homes are $30 and can be purchased at the Monroe County History Museum and at the Forsyth Welcome Center at 48 N Jackson St. Or purchase tickets online by visiting the Monroe County Historical Society’s website or Facebook page. As a bonus, enjoy a free tour of our museum and take photos with Santa in the caboose from 3:00-5:00 PM, no ticket purchases necessary!
