Forsythia Festival

Starting in 1988, the Forsythia Festival was our communities kick off to spring! The annual date, second weekend in March, was set to coincide with the blooming of the Forsythia plants (official plant name is forsythia x intermedia) around the Historic Downtown Square and all over Forsyth. The Forsythia plants traditionally bloom each year at the very first sign of a warming trend. The festivities begin in February with a Hello Yellow Kickoff party, which includes our annual Food Truck Frenzy. The fun continues with a corn-hole tournament, 5K, FaithFest singing competition and rounding out with the 2 day arts & crafts festival.
